Sheltered Housing
Although Burton does not have any sheltered housing within the parish, residents are eligible to apply to The Fairbank Society at Kirkby Lonsdale, which is just a few miles away. As a service we are including the following information about them.

Supported Housing for Independent people
The award-winning accommodation we provide is varied to take into account different requirements and is open to all. There are en-suite single rooms, cottages and four apartments. Our residents live their normal, independent lives with all the facilities of the town on the doorstep. We do arrange some activities but they are optional. The houses are set amidst beautiful gardens with views of the fells.
We provide high-quality, individual en-suite accommodation, two cooked meals a day, laundry, heating, buildings insurance and maintenance, council tax and 24-hour support. Residents can live secure, independent lives without the worries of maintaining a house. Our excellent Housekeeping Staff and Trustees take responsibility for everything. If residents become ill or require some assistance they can employ their own carers who are known to the staff.
If you would like more information please contact Janet Farrington, the manager, who will be pleased to answer any queries you may have, and to arrange for you to visit.
