Tim Chu and Ian Bailey will return to Burton Memorial Hall on Sat 22nd February 2025, with their A Celebration of Simon and Garfunkel show. Featuring the music of the fabulous duo, plus anecdotes of their lives, this will be an evening of superb music by two very talented professional musicians. The next mid-monthly coffee morning will be on Saturday 21st December, 10am until 11.30am, in Burton Memorial Hall. With lots of delicious home-made cakes on offer, why not pop along and have a chat with friends or neighbours over a cuppa and a slice?

Warm Welcome Wednesdays at Burton Memorial Hall, weekly 12.30pm-4pm

Knit and Natter at the Memorial Hall

The weekly Knit and Natter group at the hall meets tonight from 6.30pm - 8.30pm in the Club Room. Open to all, £2 per session, includes tea/coffee and cake each week. Bring your current WIP and chat with friendly others over their WIPs, or help plan and create one of the fabulous postbox toppers, or yarn bomb the village! Help is also available if you get stuck / as needed with a pattern or technique. 

Burns Night Supper & Ceilidh Fri 24th Jan 2025

Burton Memorial Hall's annual Burns Night Supper and Ceilidh will be on Friday 24th Januray 2025, with music by Tattie Bogle, solist Val Still and piper Philip Gruar. Food will be by Jan's Pantry of Burton. Tickets £15 each, on sale at the Hall's mid-monthly coffee morning on Sat 21st Dec 10am-11.30am, or by phone from 01524 781306, or in the Village Store in the New Year. Tickets limited to 80. Burton Junior Table Tennis Coaching

Junior Table Tennis Coaching – ages 8 to 17 @ Burton Table Tennis Club.
Every Thursday, 5.15 to 6.00 pm, in Burton Memorial Hall. These sessions will run, each Thursday until May 22nd, 2025, except for Xmas, bank holidays, etc. The fee is £2.

Adult Social Table Tennis at Burton Table Tennis Club

From Thursday, October 3^rd, 2024, social table tennis will take place from 6.00 to 7.00, each Thursday, in the Burton Memorial Hall. These sessions are for adult players who do not currently want to play competitively but would instead like to play socially, make friends, meet people, have fun and if desired, improve their table tennis. Burton Table Tennis Club has 2 qualified coaches, Martin Wakelin and myself. I will be running the sessions on the night, supported by Martin, and either one or both of us will be available to provide in-session coaching for anyone who is interested in improving. The charge for each session will be £3 and the sessions will run every Thursday until May 22^nd, 2025, other than on bank holidays etc. We will be managing the number of attendees to make sure that everyone gets sufficient table time so anyone interested should contact me on 07814 029471 or This email address is being protected from spambots.
