Once Upon A Fell

Once Upon A Fell is an eco-responsible, private pitch glamping and camping site on a working family farm in the South Lakes, at Whin Yeats Farm, Hutton Roof, near to Burton in Kendal. Situated almost mid-way between Junctions 35 and 36 of the M6 motorway, it is within easy reach of Cumbria, Lancashire and Yorkshire.

Their popular bell tents and camping fields are open from May to September each year and the new Arctic Cabin is open all year round. Located in between the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales, adjacent to Hutton Roof Crags SSSI and Farleton Knott SSSI, they are perfectly situated for walking, mountain biking, climbing, nature spotting and most importantly: relaxing. Please contact them directly if you are looking for a dog-friendly stay. The site is based on a working dairy and sheep farm, which means that they are not always able to host dogs, depending upon the time of year.
