Nature Talks at the Hall

The Nature Talks at the Hall started in January 2018, after local naturalist, Bryan Yorke, kindly agreed to give a fund-raising talk for the Hall on bird migration. The talk was so well-received that it was decided to arrange a series of talks on various nature subjects, as fund-raisers for the Memorial Hall. Setting a regular date of the last Thursday of each month between January and October, plus the first Monday in December, gave us eleven dates per year to fill. In 2018 and 2019 we filled eight of those dates, and all the talks were very popular. Below you will see the posters for the talks to date, showing the subject covered and the speaker. All of them are highly recommended to other groups looking for speakers on any of these subjects.

Please note that the Nature Talks are not currently running (Oct 2024).  We hope to resume them in due course.
