Curwen Woods, Holme

The Curwen Woods Estate is in south Cumbria, with the house itself being reached via a gated entrance from the A6070 Crooklands to Tewitfield road. It stands just beyond midway between Kendal and Lancaster, with easy access from the M6 at junctions 35 or  36, or from Yorkshire via the A65.   The extensive grounds and parkland include three holiday cottages, a working farm, a tennis court, and free-roaming peacocks and geese.  The Thomas Mawson designed gardens are available for wedding celebrations.
